About VLTA

Formed in 1974, the Virginia Land Title Association has worked to protect the land title industry in Virginia. Amid the changing regulations and the changes of the market, VLTA has stood by their members to offer high-quality education, networking opportunities, and legislative advocacy. VLTA stands for the highest principles of professionalism and consumer protection, advocating for the safe and efficient transfer of real property.

Workforce Development Taskfoce

To attract and retain new members to the land title industry, the Virginia Land Title Association has created the Workforce Development Task Force to explore all facets of industry-specific education and professional development, including primary education, post-secondary education, and higher education (credit and non-credit based programs) in conjunction with the Virginia Community College System. The task force will review current national programs, consult with outside educational agencies, and develop strategies that promote a career in the land title industry - all with an end goal of developing recommendations to the VLTA Board of Directors regarding potential programs and initiatives to increase the land title workforce in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
