Virginia Land Title Association Annual Convention focuses on colleagues coming together to share information and increase knowledge about the land title industry. These conventions provide an environment to gain cutting-edge information and examples of methods and best practices being utilized in the industry. There are opportunities for professionals at all levels. This convention is a unique opportunity for you to collaborate with your colleagues on solutions to today's challenges, while crafting strategies for tomorrow.

Today, more than ever before, our industry has become more competitive and more volatile. We’re all struggling to keep our doors open. Technological advancements and new product development have helped to create new modes of operation and behaviors that influence our industry. The deregulation of markets, changing demographics of the work force, and faster technological change have also contributed to the current state of affairs. If you attend only one industry event this year, make it the 2008 VLTA Annual Convention.  Why?

Ø       EXHIBITORS: MEET FACE-TO-FACE WITH THOSE WHO SUPPORT THE INDUSTRY
Ø       NETWORK WITH YOUR COLLEAGUES AND SHARE TIPS ON SURVIVING THIS MARKET
Ø       9 CREDIT HOURS! GET YOUR CREDITS ~ KEEP YOUR LICENSE CURRENT!

Some Highlights….

Keynote Speaker: Living Right Side Up in an Upside Down World
David Thomas, Esq.

A wave of corporate scandals and the realities of a post-9/11 world confirm that integrity is a timeless yet timely virtue. In a challenging and upbeat manner, this topic is addressed by exploring such questions as: What are the crucial aspects of integrity and how can it be defined? Why is integrity more important than ever to today’s workplace? How can it be maintained when those around us operate differently? You will discover yourself emerging from this session both challenged and encouraged…challenged to have honestly examined your personal emphasis on integrity and encouraged to know why it still makes a difference in the 21st century workplace
Opening Session for Friday…BE THERE!

The Return of Beauford Hambucket

Get ready to laugh and be inspired by our comical hero Beauford Hambucket, who opened up his start-up agency last year called “Galactic Title”.  (His motto is “Our Service is Out of This World”). Beauford will talk about his wild settlement experiences as a new settlement agent and how things didn’t turn out quite as he expected.  This is a NOT to MISS performance on Saturday Night!
